Students of Our College Participate in the 2014 Qatar “Chinese Cultural Festival”
The 2014 Qatar 895165522 Chinese Cultural Festival895165522 was held in the cultural city of Doha, Qatar on January 9 to 14, 2014. The 2014 China Cultural Festival in Qatar, jointly organized by the Chinese Ministry of Culture , the Chinese Embassy in Qatar and Chinese City of Qatar， was the largest cultural exchange activities since the establishment of the diplomatic relations of the two countries.
At the invitation of the Chengdu Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, the president Mr. He Jiming, led 22 students and 3 teachers from Basic Department, Tourism Department, Finance Department to Qatar to perform the cultural exchange task. This time, the preparation time was short, and the task was heavy. With the concern and support of college leaders and active cooperation of College Foreign Exchange Office, the Communist Youth League and the relevant branches of the department, difficulties were overcome and finally 5 distinctive programs were formed: Sichuan opera dance, Qiang ethnic minority dance, tea art, fancy basketball show.
As representatives of Chengdu , the students gave wonderful performances on dance, tea art and fancy basketball shows, etc. During the performance, the teachers and students had also been cordially received by Chinese Ambassador in Qatar. The president Mr. He Jiming on behalf of our college said that in recent years our college had deepened international work and provided a good platform for teachers and students. This event was a good opportunity to make culture and art exchange. Our College would build and hone a number of inheritable high-quality arts programs, endeavoring for more opportunities to make foreign exchange on behalf of your college, Chengdu and China.
